What is the best way to deal with pics on a digital camera?

I have about 400 pics on camera. Should I: 1) upload to an online photo site like shutterfly? 2) burn to a CD at home? or 3) take the memory card to a retailer for either a cd or hardcopy of photos?
I don’t really want to take up all that memory on my laptop and I definately don’t want to print them all at home. that is way too much money in ink-our printer is dated, but functional.
