Hi, I studied arts, but specialized in painting. Now I’m working on some digital images, and my question is how to print them to look good and to last as long as possible. I know there are pigment printers, but I don’t know where I could find one near Mexico City.
Sending them to any standard photolab would do the job?
I would like to print them like 1×2 ft. aprox.

i want to make my own greeting cards but i am really confused as to what to do. my thoughts are below, but what is the correct procedure? feel free to give all your ideas, experience, referrals, links, etc.

I want to learn how to take pictures of flowers, nature, etc. but i don’t know what camera is the best. i assume some sort of digital camera should be used. i wonder if i should buy card stock/or paper used to make greeting cards to print on or should i take them/digital photos to the local print shop/Kinko’s/staples to print. what is the best type of printer/ink…laser? or should i just skip it and use the print shop. should I copy right my pictures? should i get some sort of bar code for the back of each card? i suppose i should make a business name.

I don’t want a big time organization to compete with the big guys. I just want a cost effective way to make extra money from home.

I am looking for a printer to print professional-quality photos from home that are sellable quality. What is the best possible printer I can buy for printing digital photos at home? ( I would like to have the option to do color and black/white). I use photo shop. So far, i’ve done alot of research and I’ve come up with the Canon Pixma pro9500 Photo Printer…. and the Epson Stylus R2400 Photo Printer… They both look good. I’m leaning toward the epson, but a few people said they had problems with the ink jamming. Any opinions?

I will be printing from the hard drive, so the printer or the memory card don’t need to dock on the printer. I want professional-looking photographs. This printer will only be used for photos.

I’m switching over from a traditional dark room to a fully digital setup. I have been looking around, but all I can find are the “consumer” quality printers for point and shoot cameras. I have recently ugraded to a Nikon D200, and I would like a professional quality printer to add. Any advice is greatly appreciated!
